city with a rich maritime and shipbuilding heritage. One of the jewels of the city is the
Wisconsin Maritime Museum where, in addition to many exhibits, you can tour a real World War
II submarine, the USS Cobia. With its large marina, Manitowoc offers sailing and power boating
options to many people throughout the summer season.
Manitowoc features many recreational opportunities along the beaches as well as inland.
Fishing, cross-country skiing, tennis, biking and sailing are just a few of the activities
residents and visitors enjoy in and around Manitowoc.

businesses and large commercial enterprises including the Manitowoc Company, manufacturer
of industrial cranes, ocean-going ships and commercial ice making machines; Burger Boat which

containers for commercial use. For more information on this vibrant city, please visit www.Manitowoc.org.
